A Good Catholic Teacher Imparts Wisdom ‘A good school provides a rounded education for the whole person. And a good Catholic school, over and above this, should help all its students to become saints.”

Pope Benedict 16th, Address to Teachers and Religious, 2010 A Good Catholic Teacher Imparts Wisdom

“The task of a teacher is not simply to impart information or to provide training in skills intended to deliver some economic benefit to society; education is not and must never be considered as purely utilitarian. It is about forming the human person, equipping him or her to live life to the full, in short it is about imparting wisdom. And true wisdom is inseparable from knowledge of the Creator, for “both we and our words are in his hand, as are all understanding and skill in crafts (Wis 7:16).”

Pope Benedict 16th, Address to Teachers and Religious, 2010 Catholic education aims not only to communicate facts but also to transmit a coherent, comprehensive vision of life, in the conviction that the truths contained in that vision liberate students in the most profound meaning of human freedom. – Pope John Paul II

Educating is an act of love; it is like giving life. – Pope Francis

WELCOME!

A Hearty Welcome to you!
We are delighted to have you visiting our page!

The CIBT has a unique mission that distinguishes it from other institutions of higher learning:      to unearth and communicate the truth via excellence in teaching and research, in service to God (the Church) and humanity overall.

The CIBT aims to provide a rounded education for its students, while actively contributing solutions to some of the current problems in Ghana, Africa and our world today.

Thus, CIBT assumes a utilitarian outlook in addition to its intellectual remit to remain relevant to national and continental economic needs. However, it also ensures that the development of the whole individual occurs.

This is where the vision and mission of the Catholic Institute of Business and Technology (CIBT), girded by the Motto: “Pro Dei, Pro Patria” (“For God and Country”), become extremely relevant.

At CIBT, our core values seek to help create a culture where students, and staff are intellectually challenged, feel supported, valued, respected and inspired!

As a result, CIBT intends to emerge as the epitome of holistic education, academic excellence, outstanding research, innovation, reliable consultancy and first-rate community service.

The CIBT is very much interested in the future of the African continent including Ghana, and the sacred and secular development of its growing youth population.

The spiritual, moral and material formation of the individual is critical.

Therefore, the aim of the CIBT is to morally form the character of its students while intellectually developing them and training them to be entrepreneurial and innovative to respond to the dire challenges of Ghana, Africa and the world.

The CIBT’s purpose is to develop the whole person for the progress of society.

Pivotal to all this are business and technology.

You are warmly invited to explore our website and if you require further information, please contact me or another member of staff.
